Holy crap for crap. I should call this Lazy Lanea’s, I post so rarely. The Christmas knitting, shopping, cooking, and the PCF website work is making me forget about this fun little project of mine. And I have this dumb job that I keep coming to even though they have yet to hand me a million dollars ever.

I finished my Aunt Charlene’s lovely wool lace scarf and want to start one for my sister in law, but I doubt I can finish in time for Christmas Eve, since I want to do it in some lace pattern I don’t yet know. Maybe I should just let her know I will make one in a color of her choosing. This is the first year I’m knitting for others, so I expect to learn which relatives want many many knitted items right now, and which will wish to never ever have to tolerate such silly, itchy, non-flashing prezzies.

I am working on a Constant Companion felted bag (for my own needy self) that seems to be coming along quickly. I’m using two colors of NatureSpun–one called Eucalyptus and another that is a pretty red-brown as an accent color. I’m about an inch up the sides. I would have gotten further had I not chosen a movie with subtitles for last night’s viewing pleasure. But it was one of the most visually pleasing movies I’ve ever seen (The Pillow Book), so no complaints. Caligraphy—ah beauty. And the multi-imaged film technique–genius.

Spinning is progressing and I got a few good tips today, so I hope I will make some progress this weekend. I may be spending a lot of time working on the PCF site though, so who knows. I also accidentally volunteered to organize a fund-raiser, so that could also eat up spinning time. That’s ok. Good cause and all that.

And, speaking of good causes, I am almost done with the quilting on the SIDS quilt my Mom’s charity will soon auction off. I hope to be able to have it wrapped and under the tree. I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but quilts are huge and they take a long time to make. Who turned me on to this time-sucking hobby, anyway?
