Juno asked if I like brown. You know what kind of brown I like, Juno?
I like Boyne river-reed brown
And mini-horde of amber brown
And oak griffin brown
And ladder-back chair brown
And elk, doe, and buck-skin brown
And birdseye maple brown
And birchbark brown
And rust brown
But I love Kayo brown above all else.
So imagine my joy at finding Shetland cashmere/silk laceweight in Kayo-brown on my doorstep. Thank you so much. Kayo thanks you too.
This will become Kiri, if all goes as planned. I may not be able to pull off a medal in the Knitting Olympics, but I sure am going to try.
I will join Team Wales. Because I know more about Wales than is ultimately safe to know. I feel it is my duty to serve. And I may need to get on the liquid-refreshment teams too. Yes yes. Must swatch.

Well, you got me reading poetry for pleasure again, so it all works out.
It matches your dog? I love that. (And a gorgeous fellow he is.) And that chair.
(Alden Amos and In Sheeps Clothing under that handsome basket full of blue roving, right? We like the blue and brown together, oh yes).
Yep, it’s all about the blue and the brown. Which may be the ultimate sign of narcissism, but, well, who cares. It does match Kayo, who is ultimately putting a fair amount of his brown fur into that blue roving, I betcha. So he’s in the club too. And the chair–the chair is more a sculpture of a chair at this point than an actual chair, but it’s not going anywhere.
the amber brown may well be my personal favorite.. although its a close tie for the birch bark…
yummy, earthy browns.. I agree.
Just read your rant on KR. What an asswipe! Are we living parallel lives??
Love you!
