Maeve Binchy’s Tara Road is what it is: pleasing fluff. I needed some fluff, and I wanted a reminder of living in Dublin. Anyone who has read Circle of Friends will recognize the clueless but kind heroine, the beautiful, scheming friend, the deceitful first love, and the happy-enough ending. I picked the book up and read it in a few days, and it was sweet, as long as I didn’t think too hard about it.
